Just been looking at the rear speakers on my 93 Italian job. There rear speaker cables are floating about in the boot but I can't see how they are meant to make there way to the speakers tidy manner . Can anyone tell me the correct route for the speaker cables? I didn't strip the car down i don't know where they were originally.

Thanks

The speaker cables in mine (94 SPi Mayfair) come into the boot from the left hand side behind the fuel tank on the main loom with the rest of the cables..

Possibly the same on yours...?

They are different lengths, obviously the shorter is for the left and longer for the right....

Would have thought my car is the same . So what supports the cables or do they just dangle ???
Been looking through the Haynes manual for any pictures and the only only one i can find is on page 11b.5 and the cables appear to be on the top side of the shelf and seem to come through the speaker hole .

Mine (1994), I believe was original when I took it apart, the cables were held up by rectangular strips of strong gaffer tape. the speaker cable for the driver side did go through a  hole after the passenger side speaker (if memory serves me correctly), and run along the top of the steel parcel shelf under the black cardboard finisher, held in place again by strong rectangular strips of gaffer tape.

Having had the opportunity to work on the car this week.

The cables come out of the boot through a 'D' shape slot just to the left of the passenger rear speaker, runs across the top of the shelf, then goes back into the boot via the equivalent on the driver side.
