In 1965 I saw a Mini at Mallory Park that had an alloy 3.5 litre Buick V-8 in the BACK, driving the FRONT wheels. 

 

I'd never have believed that description from anyone if I had not stood there and looked at the car.

 

Does anyone know the history of that car?
