I have just bought a 1998 Cooper sports pack finished in volcano orange from a member on here & must say well pleased with it😀
Thing is the the insurance company requires a valuation to be carried out.
How can I get one carried out? Any help would be great.

The valuation in my case at least was just a guess thats agreed upon, basically however much you bought it for or what other similar cars are worth (check ebay and any other second hand car sites).

I should add but you probably know already that theres usually a separate valuation for any mods that you need to declare and list the costs of.

The insurance company themselves requires an official valuation to be carried out so unfortunately can not be just what I say/ bought it for.

Unless there's a speific reason for using the insurance company why not consider changing insurance comapnies. I use HIC and they agree the valuation with the customer based on photo's and specification including all modifications. They also happened to be one of the cheapest.

Agreed mine is valued at 5k no questions. I wouldn't be able to sell it for that.

I already had a policy for May S1 Escort RS Turbo & sold that car so I just took the RS off the policy & put the mini in its place. The policy runs until May & just cost me an admin fee.
