I'm 6'6 and drive a classic mini, standard seats are comfortable enough but really want to make it a bit more comfortable and the best way I can see of doing this is to mount my bucket seats behind the box section across the floor. I understand the are behind the box section isn't the most sturdy of places. So how exactly would I go about mounting them safely and correctly?
Also does anyone know how far back the pre built subframes tend to go as if they give enough extra room I might just go with them, but would prefer to floor mount them just due to the extra head and leg room being much better
Thanks
Glen

depends on usage and what mounting you are going to use.
add metal and drill holes.

It's only for road use so don't need to pass any checks or anything, in terms of mounting I was going to just use the standard side brackets that come for the actual seats, and just fabricate or buy something if there's some sort of kit to actually mount them to the car (planning on getting sparco sprints or cobra Monaco pro's depending on what's cheaper at the time really)

I'm using a seat similar to a sprint, I cut the top bits off the original seat brackets then welded 3mm plate to that so its flush with the crossmember, then welded some more 3mm together to make a stand for the rear seat mounts
