Hmmm, Best Way To Repair This?

Evening all,
I was going through my mayfair collating a list of works, and ive come across a hole in the cross beam, and im a little stumped on how the repair it, would it be ok to cut the rust iut treat and then weld a scab patch over, like i said im unsure so i thought id ask the experts :)

Yup, with Nick on this. That rust will have started from behind and possibly from the inner sill. Whats the rest of the floor and inner sill like??

Ideally needs new inner and outer sills floor is acceptable

If thats the case, remove the crossmember, deal with the inner sill then either replace the crossmember or carry out a repair. There will be more rust hiding inside the actual crossmember so i would remove it to see what the full extent of the rust is.

Is the cross member even attached to the floor any more? Looks like it isn't or isn't very well. I say take the time and remove the crossmember or atleast part of it.

M Machine can supply an outer floor section which includes inner sill - if needed.
