Had a nightmare with arches on my mini since owning it. I took off the really cheap plastic ones that came with it as I fitted 12x6 wheels so needed wider ones and to cut arch for clearance at front. Anyone who hasnt had to cut arches at all for 10x6mambas please tell me how you did it without setting right height to 4wd off road setting!! Never got rid of arch rub no matter how much I cut away and played with heights...
As a result I had really poor fitting arches and front wing and some of front lower panel butchered within an inch of its life to get everything just so....
ANYWAY Ive decided to try and make my mk5 a little more period by removing wheel arches and reverting back to 10x4 wheels....
Im going to start again with new front wings and front panel, Are pattern panels simply a no no due to poor fit or are some better than others....??
Going Archless....yikes

I have used pattern panels on mine and after some initial tweaking, they seem to fit ok. Im happy with it anyway.
With regards to wheels and arch cutting, I have a thread about this open at moment.
Strangely a lot of people are saying you dont need to cut arches and they have 10x6 wheels.
Im just at stage for paint so want to get my arches cut prior just in case. I was asking for pics of people who had had it done
