I've no idea about the zinc thing, I mainly use the halfords classic stuff because I like the tin can :-)

I like the post above and I'm with it...

 

But really - again?

Oil ?

This crazy debate goes on and on....

 

Just stick to a decent brand, go 20/w50 mineral oil and feel guilty that you are polluting the world (with your tiny car that uses FAR less fuel / oil / energy than most others).

i doubt any of the oils here will have much zinc or phosphorus. will need to find an additive

You might find something aimed at bikes, also with integral gearboxes. Might be on the thin side, but it's a different ball game if it's synthetic.
