Hi, Ive just rescued a 1990 rover Mini Cooper RSP S pack BRG car after being locked up since 2004! Now I know its a rare car being a RSP and even rarer having a S pack fitted. Now the problem Ive got is, I need to gauge a ruff idea on its value as it sits. Google sucks at this as I cant find any on it to get an idea. Its a one owner car with 40k odd miles on it, paperwork to back up the S pack etc. Its not immaculate as its been sitting for near 13 years and has got surface corrosion to the front and small amount on the sides. The main thing I really need to know is, is the car better valued as a Survivor car or am I able to get the body work cleaned up without devaluing it?!? Any help would be great 👍🏻
Cheers
Ben

What a fantastic find.

You should get in touch with Roger Hunt who runs the RSP Cooper Register

http://www.rsp-coope...co.uk/index.htm

There is also a Facebook group and an additional closed group for owners.

Your car should be worth at least £10k - more if there is not too much to be done. The record was £25k for a low mileage S pack last year - I think around 10-15k miles.

I don't think anyone in the RSP community would think an unrestored car is more valuable. The important thing is to restore it as authentically as possible. There is no shortage of available advice on this model. Whights in Northamptonshire are the RSP specialist restorers.

Mine is S pack 40, carried out at John Cooper Garages in January 1991. The numbering wasn't necessarily in date order.
