Having just replaced floor half’s on my Clubman Saloon I think I would go for the complete floor if I did it again. Good luck with it and keep the pics coming.

Hi,

Looks exactly like a black one of the same age I saw. Rotten in all the same places only the front was stoved in too!

Cheers  :proud:

Think i'd be doing a complete floor from m-machine, will be much easier and quicker in the long run.

In hindsite a complete floor would probably have been easier but as I have already bought the half floors complete with outer cills I will be going with it now.
Hopefully get some welding done saturday

Got a bit more done after my gas bottle running out almost instantly on the Saturday before last.

Started by cleaning up then setting the healboard up by bolting to the subframe then holding it in place with a couple of screws.

Got a couple of plug welds in before like I said the bottle run out so cut out the drivers floor as to be honest it wasn't doing much anyway.

Trimmed a bit off the half floor to get it to sit better and clamped the step panel in to see how it all lined up.

Will need some more fettling but was only a trial fit

Not much heal board left but I have a new one to fit before I fit the floor.

Then  moving on to this Saturday just gone I got some more gas and plug welded the healboard using the holes I drilled to remove the old one

Bit out of practice with the mig as haven't used one for ages but did get good penetration so should be nice and strong.

After a bit of a grind up and a coat of zinc primer, does need cleaning up a bit more though

Then back on its side

Subframe out

Now time to tackle the toeboard (or lack of it)

Even the peddles are rusty and pitted but I have another pair somewhere

Started drilling the spot welds on the toeboard

So that's about as far as I got over the weekend

Next week hopefully get the toeboard out and do a couple of repairs where it joins before fitting the new one

It is a bit crusty. lol

A few years ago I would of just crushed it but it was cheap and wanted a long term project so here we are.

Looking at the new toeboard I thought it wouldn't be to difficult.

Once that's in I can crack on with the floor

Yes that’s what I’m doing toe board, inner wings on then full m machine floor, if you can afford it full floor is far more easy and also you know it is square

In hindsight I would have gone for the full floor but already have the 2 half floors so will make do as have already spent a small fortune in panels. Lol.

I wondered if anyone on here would notice. Lol.
That's why I've gone a bit quiet on here.
Will try to update here as well though.
