Hi ready to fit the front end, how do you effectively weld the front panel to the wing and wing to A panel any guides. Tried many searches but seem to bring up alignment issues

I spot welded my front end on, but plug welding is also effective. Main issue is the trial fit to get everything to align before and welding is done. I used some self tapping screws to hold it together during assembly, the holes were eventually filled with the mig.

Or self tap and trial on the car then weld up off the car and finally weld to the inner wings, I’m saying this because it seems incredibly tight to weld on the car

A panels are easy to do, 3/16th holes are perfect for plug welding on these as again the flange is not the widest. I usually weld the wing side of the seam as it's easiest to get to.

The front panel to wing is a little harder but again doable for plug welding. Now due to the width of flanges on the wings to front panel the holes again no bigger than 3/16th if plug welding. The flanges tend to be small especially on the radiuses. A good light source is essential here and a reactive welding mask. Think about how you can see the flange you want to weld, so once the panel is temp fitted and NO holes drilled then get in their with welding torch and see what access YOU can achieve comfortably. Also think about where you can get a grinder, Powerfile, die grinder etc to clean up the plug welds. Once you are happy then drill the holes on the side you can access.

Now if you have a spot welder then it is straight fwd.

I assembled my wings to front panel off the car. Never had any problems this way as all had been trial assembled
Made welding the flanges much easier.

The closest i have ever been to there was when i used to work in Cambridge. I used to live just outside Peterborough in a small village called Glinton and prior to that just up the road in Market Deeping.
