I am close to the time to buy my master cylinders for my GTM race car, I am planning a dual circuit system using the shortened Mini pedal box that was standard on the GTM and a KAD biased box for the dual system. I have Standard 7.5" discs on the front and Minifins on the rear. So I am interested as to what people think would be a good set up for the MS bores front and rear, also if I should upgrade the rear wheel cylinders to larger MGBGT ones?

What do people think?

Cheers

Simon

You'll be governed by what masters you choose. One of those will be governed by the front calipers.

I'd take my lead off a standard mini setup and aim for the same master to slave ratios as a starting point.

I was thinking that it might end up needing to be different to a mini as the engine is at the back so the dynamics of the cars braking would need to change.

I ran a S MC and a tilton adjuster and discs all around no issues.

Minis, especially vans, were designed to carry weight in the back. You'll  actually be in a better situation as the weight will always be there, but it's still going to transfer to the front to some degree as the centre of gravity is still above the front axle. The vans had an inertia valve to proportion the brakes.

Good point about the weight transfer, I was thinking of starting with 0.625" on the back and 0.7" on the front, then I could tune it with the Balance bar.
