Worth watching if you missed it....on tomorrow (Tues 21/11/17) again on Ch4-7 @9pm or see catch up below.
Guy Martin wants to build a working replica of a World War One tank, pass his tank driving test, and drive the machine at Lincoln's Remembrance Day parade:-

I always watch such programmes now recorded/delayed by half hour or on a catch up service which allows you to fast forward through ads.

Great program, I suppose if it wasn't for all the ads the programming wouldn't get financed in the first place. I was very impressed with JCB great British Engineering is alive and kicking, and with a massive technology base to work with.

Was particularly interesting for me, as we use the engineering company (Chasestead) at work and also supply parts to JCB!

I didn't even know they had involvement in this until a few weeks ago.

I expect they were CNC'd from bar for not too much,. Would have been nice to do a few real ones though, plenty of steam trains still knocking about with riveted boilers to maintain. JCB would be the most popular kid in class with that toy chest!

Caught up with this last night and I must say it didn’t disappoint.
Don’t think he has made a bad program yet because he is so down to earth ! No make up on this show didn’t look like he had even had a wash . You could grow spuds under his finger nails .!! Love it probably like most of us on here ?
Why did Lincoln council pull out ???
Also liked the way Guy made his heavily pregnant wife crawl inside a tank and make her slide on her back under a hand pole when there was a seat by the entrance hatch .

The council didn't pull out, the police blocked it.

yes,

it was not supprising to me, tracked vehicles are an issue on the road, you need to have rubber shoes fitted which they didnt do to get the authentic look, theres two problems, the tracks will trash the road, and a runaway tracked vehicle on a hill is a very real problem.
