Has anyone fitted or had fitted a roll back Sun roof (manual or electric). Wondering what is involved and size of hole required. Or recommend a good fitter in Midlands area.

I removed, repaired and refitted my Britax roof a few months ago, I'll see if I can find some pics. Can get you the measurement of the hole if you like as I have a spare internal support frame in the shed.

Great thanks and yes to the support frame dimensions. Don't suppose you know if you have to replace the roof lining when fitting a new one

I did have a complete spare sunroof ready to drop in but he mice ate the lining so I had to make a good one out of the two

You can carefully cut the original but it's easy to rip it in the corners by the frame (I made a right mess) The edges of the lining then pull over edges of the sunroof frame and are held in place by the trim.

I'll get some measurements after tea.

OK fed and watered :proud:

Internal dimensions of support frame are 31.5" X 31.25" = size of hole in roof.

This is the 3/4 size roof, longer ones are also available.

I removed and refitted mine, its the earlier weather shields version, we made a

new headliner for it and the surrounding roof! not the easiest of jobs,

If you check out my Oyler Contessa build you will se what faced me.

I am looking at replacing the outer cover next year not 100% happy with

the colour compared with the roof.

Theres a guy on eBay in Bristol that supplies them and a place in Hampshire

do parts for them.

mostly interested in the width really. As may be looking to change from a factory glass sun roof to roll back and want to make sure the glass type is not a too wider hole.
