Not unless you've fitted a Weber carburetor to your MPI !

People often fit http://www.minispare...72.aspx|Back to or https://www.minispor...pi-1997-01.html

I prefer a K&N replacement filter in the original airbox but the cone filters will give you more noise if that's what you really want.

I had a Mini with  twin 1 & 1/2 inch SUs on with K & Ns with stub stacks and that was perfectly capably of drowning out the radio and any conversation in the car. So be careful what you wish for! I think the element in the original housing is a better solution.

Want it louder? Fit a de-cat outside of MOT time.

Thanks for the comments.

I have don;t want it too loud. Will this fit (https://www.minispor...abs_description)

without any modification needed.

Also will this give me what I'm after. I bit more of a throatier sound.

Thanks,

It will, however you can probably get it cheaper and from a more reputable company.

Thanks I will get it from mini spares. In terms of fitting so I just take the old air box off and fit this. Is there anything else I would need

I would suggest you become a TMF+ member. It only costs £5 and entitles you to discount from various suppliers including 7.5% at Minispares. More importantly it also supports the forum as well.

That image doesn't look right. Filter housing is too small

This is the correct image
https://www.minispor...pi-1997-01.html

Possibly just a library photo on Minispares website
