Hi All,

I plan to get new shocks for my car and have a question. My car is a road car for casual cruising. Its no racer and I have no plans to take it to the track. Whats the better damper choice for my car -  the plain ol Kayaba oil filled ones or the 25% gas ones?

Cant seem to find what precisely is the improvement of the 25% gas ones over the standard oil ones.

What if I put the 25% ones in the front and the standard ones at the back?

Minispares sell the Gas-a-just ones as a set (although you can't find it on their website without the part number). I've got them on my car and they're great. I'd think you'd be better off replacing them as a matched set.

Fair enough, don't mix and match. Does anyone know what the actual benefit of the 25% gas ones are compared to the regular oil filled ones? Its about 9 quid more each, but at 6 Malaysian ringgit per Pound, it ads up quickly for 4 pieces, so want to make sure im spending my limited funds wisely.

I've taken the dashes out of the description so the search should work now :)

gas a just a really quite expensive though. I'm just trying to weigh up if the 25% are worth paying the extra for or not...

I fitted the 25% KYB's and new doughnuts from Mini Spares on the front and am very happy with them. Cant do too much of a comparison with the standard ones though as I was riding on the front bump stops and the dampers were knackered before I changed. I feel the back end is a bit bouncy so I'll be fitting the same dampers there soon.
