Building my Cooper s replica in between meant that this Toylander has taken almost four years to finish so I've taken a little time off from re-building the 1275 engine & box to complete it before I miss another Christmas!  It's unique (I think) in having an extended wheelbase for scale accuracy - which then required a complete re-design of the standard braking system.   I've enjoyed building it but am glad that it's finally finished and will hopefully go to a new younger owner and introduce them to classic vehicle styling!

I wish I still had access to the previous one I built as I'd love to have a photo of them together but it's now living in Belgium.

Thanks, they're about 5 feet long and powered by a 24v electric transaxle from a mobility scooter

Thanks, I like to make them look as period correct as possible and in unusual liveries as most that I've seen are standard builds in standard colours.

I'm thinking that if I do another it will be on a chassis to allow opening doors and perhaps suspension.

Fantastic!

I have to admit to my shame that I got the information pack for one of these when my eldest was small but never got round to making him one, he's about to turn 17 and might be looking for something a bit bigger!

My youngest at nearly 11 is a wee bit big too.

Oh well, might have grandchildren someday.
