is there fluid in the car , around the top of the clutch pedal area ?
if not , just change the slave , the master cyl can be a git to do anyway
you used to be able to buy the slave cyl recon kit , which may work out even cheaper , if the bore is in good condition
https://www.ebay.co....ir kit&_sacat=0
the above is for verto slave cyl - I think that is correct for MPI - but check with others first

the hardest bit will be moving the brake master cyl out the way
I usually leave it connected , undo the 2 mounting nuts , move it over to wing , tie it there with a bit of string , make sure fluid don't spill out of cap
then you should be able to get to the slave
slacken flexi pipe connection , then undo 2 slave mounting bolts , then undo flexi & fluid will leak out & pull bar out of slave
if the above bolts are seized , you can take the plate underneath the slave off - they are usually rusty (keep hold of spacer underneath)
refitting is the reverse of above
(may be a few pipes / loom to move about as well)
