As my second recent Mini! restoration project is nearing completion,

I got to thinking that maybe some folks might be interested in what

rekindled my new interest in Minis after a break of about 40yrs!

I was doing some research on these Trucks on YouTube !

when some Mini projects including project Binky flashed up and

the rest is history.

The truck was built whilst we were living in Cyprus, with kit and parts

upgraded and standard , all being purchased online from the UK &

direct from Hong Kong  and Germany,

two speed gearbox servo operated upgraded from plastic gears to

brass, also fitted with  upgraded poison motor,

as I had been before retiring managing a  Construction company w/shop

and looking after a fleet of trucks plus other vehicles other parts had to

be upgraded to look the the part to keep me happy

alloy axle casings and proper looking prop shafts replaced the kit plastic

items,

all the lights are led and are fully functional, which along with the speed

control 2speed with reverse, horn, engine ,gearbox and airbrake sounds

are all Radio Controlled via a control module from Servonaught,

also fitted are a full set of alloy wheels and Michelin branded tyres,

out door w/shop poolside with the obligatory G&T on the table,

Tractor unit along with the Radio transmitter,

The trailer shown in earlier photos was scratch built by me using axles from

Hong Kong with standard wheels that came in the kit.

Not being one to sit about doing nowt the next project was a wheeled

loader with full hydraulics. I then did a bit of Quadcopter building but could

never get the hang of flying the things.

Hope some find this interesting and I know there is at least one member on

here with a 1/14th scale truck.

Thanks for looking Frank

All the upgrade parts are available from various sources some from HongKong,

some from Germany, Holland & the UK, I did scratch build the trailer chassis,

the aluminium channel ect was from Eroy Merlins, (just like B&Q).

Unfortunately metal turning and milling is something I have never got round to

trying.

I love these Tamiya kits. You've done a cracking job there on scale! Wish I had the time/patience/finances!
