Hi everyone!

I bought a MINI 40 from a Japanese source and I´m wondering if I can delete the air conditioning vents in the center of the dash and replace them with the beautiful look of three gauges instead.

I was thinking maybe the air conditioning hoses can be redirected through the fresh aire vents on the side.  Any advice?

Thanks a lot

Fernando

I do not have a response for you but I am interested in doing the same thing but into a center console

It's not as simple as just removing the vents, there's a large unit behind the dash if i remember correctly. Maybe worth a go at it and see what you can achieve, but i'm sure i've seen people try this before and ended up buggering the entire thing up. Easy to just remove the entire air conditioning system altogether.

I have a Mini 35 with air con. I found it easier to purchase a dash top tripple gauge pod to house my gauges. Achieves the same great result while preserving the originality of the factory dash. Cheaper too!
