hi all,

me and my son have been restoring a 1988 mini classic 988cc and today was the first time in almost a year for the car to run again!!

but when trying to perfect the timing we have made some sort of electrical interference between the alternator and the distributer.

we tried starting the engine again but it doesn't seem to do anything at all:(

any ideas??

Does the dashboard light up? (Red and orange lights) does the other electrical circuits work?

Edit you say it does nothing, now I'd check for voltage at the battery and then the starter
