I've a 1972 1000 automatic, I've been hunting for a boot badge for it. Did they do a single badge that says MINI 1000 AUTOMATIC like mini clubman, cooper etc? I've only been able to find a separate automatic badge. Thanks in advance.

The separate Automatic badge was used on the Mk1 & Mk2.........don't think the standard Mk3 boot badge would have been long enough to fit Mini 1000 Automatic.......the later auto Rover Minis like the SPi never had an Automatic Badge......but not sure about Japanese export as most were autos and some export Minis had Rover badges.

You could also try asking on the Automatic Mini Register:-

UK Mk3 auto model has the standard MINI 850 or MINI 1000 badge above the number plate light + every original unmolested one i've seen has the BMC 24B2693 Automatic badge lower down

At least Bull Motif Mini Spares list it as for Mk1/2/3 http://bullmotifmini...c_badge_24b2639

Brilliant, thanks for the replies, it's had a total shell rebuild and was sure something was missing.
