What about Specialist Components (https://www.speciali...-cupholder.html) Billet cup holder? Totally hidden and who doesn't love some added billet? I've never used/seen one so no idea if they work well but at least its another option out there.

GRP is the glass fibre matting embedded in plastic resin. Yes, I did the wrapping, the lower dash rail on was far from my best work though, didn’t get the seam on very straight. Looks ok when your sitting in the car. Got someone else to sew up the leather hide.

Well, I am going to have the upper and lower made in leather, by a professional, and then I will wrap my existing dash. I can start a thread when it finally happens though.

It is rock solid and holds a full 1L Nalgene bottle no issues as well as a small red bull can. Metal is damn near impossibly hard. Expensive marine cup holder... couldn't drill through the stuff. Needed 5 drill bits and broke an awl getting the 2 holes I needed to drill. Had to use washers to get it level, but you can't seem em and it is solid.  What do you think?

I'm doing both my upper and lower dash in leather as well. VERY nice!!

Sorry I dont have antsy great process pictures but heres a few on how the leather turned out.

Project was easy enough. I took the upper dash pad out of the car and worked at it on the kitchen table. The lower dash pad was better done in situ as it with it nor being rigid could have had seam going all over the place.

Basically, all it it. Involved was a LOT of good cleaning first, I go through a lot of panel wipe. Next a bit of masking up just in case the spray impact adhesive goes all over the place. Trial fit to figure out the best way to place the leather. A decent, even coat of adhesive on the pad and the back of the hide, then some very very careful placement with a lot of help from someone else - you only get one chance at it!!

My top dash pad went on perfectly but had much simpler seam lines. The lower was much harder and the seam line on the passenger side isnt peqrfectly straight (look at the photos - just above the parcel shelf and power point), though looks dead on when sitting in the car.

Put handbrake and gear lever gaitors to match.

Simple job, happy with results.
