Love your Mk1. I agree with everyone, it looks so much better with 10s than 13s. Those wheels are great and the car would be great with some gp2 arches. Alternatively, you could get some D1s (I quite like these) or some 4.5" S steelies.

Nice choice with the Cobra RS classic bucket seat. They suit these cars perfectly.

What is that strange cut out in the body on the right side of the rear panel?

Yeah the Mambas don't have the best offset... I might go with flairs. We shall see.

That funky cut out is someones idea of an antenna mount! A lot of work and well done. I hate it though haha

I agree actually, D1's would look so nice on a red Mk1..

What are your thoughts on group 2 flairs? I really don't want to go the flair route but I do like those. The mambas just stick out to far. I am on the lookout for 5x10" with a higher offset. I have a set of ATS classics that I think would look good gold! Anyway yesterday took it just down the laneway for the first drive with the A+ Engine definitely seems strong. Still have lots of work but a big step in the right direction! The fact that I don't have an Austin badge on the front is driving me bonkers. Can't wait till that comes in the mail!

Love the pictures of your Mini. I think gp2 arches would look good. Since it had W&P arches before, I'm guessing those mounting holes in the bodywork are still there. If the holes for gp2 arches line up with the existing holes, you could always fit them and see how it looks. It would save you from having to fill the holes and paint those panels again.

You need to get the new wheels and see how it looks then really - when I first built my car I didn't have time to finish/fit arches for it's first big road trip and a lot of mud ended up the side of the car! 5MKX2rS.jpg

So when we got back I fitted Group 2s

Little update.

Finally have an austin badge for the front! Anyone know where to get the original export 850 badges for the rear?

Also installed the 7.5 discs and rotors. Didn't know I had metro hubs and ordered just the conversion kit at first, after figuring out it didn't work I then had to order hubs and everything! Here is a few pictures! Would love for the snow to go away!

Lovely shiny new brake parts. Always nice to see. Those photos in the snow are quite special. Must feel like a rally stage.

Update. This is basically just a bunch of pictures form last summer. Didn’t do much to the car except enjoy! In the fall before going into hibernation I installed Rose Petals and removed the flairs.

Let me know what you think! I hope to get some Cooper S wheels

Also check out my youtube channel for all my car shenanigans!

Looked good with the Mambas, looks even more classic with the rosepetals. Lovely selection of pictures.

Small update!

Mini is out of hibernation and I am enjoying it once again!

Also found a NOS front Austin badge which is surprisingly different than the new reproductions.

The rose petals looks so good. Nice mini. I think some chrome side trim would look ace!
