I smashed the guts out of mine, made no difference to noise, volume wise, but it is a bit easier (hardly noticeable). Standard exhaust (not for long).

My SPI is a LCB then straight through to a twin DTM, it is't massively loud on the inside but is quite loud on the outside.

@sprocket does a sports cat make any / much difference? I’ve just got a pretty standard SPI (with LCB) with standard cat but always wondered if a sports cat would make any difference.

the problem you have is that if the MOT software says there should be a cat then it is a fail if there is not one.  removing it does not actually improve performance.
