Starting My Mini Up

Hi,
I wonder if anyone can tell me how this lamp should be put together?
I have 1 rubber over which I do not know where to place.
One is sitting at the back against the metal. But the other one is a mistery Its a ring with an cutout (see 2nd picture), but I do not know where to put it or which order .
Anyone got experience with this

Hi John & Welcome to the forum.
The rubber with the holes in it goes between the Headlamp Bucket and the Car Body.
The other I've not seen before, so I can't help here.

It goes on the headlamp between the hold down and outer bezel not really sure of the purpose except as a muck retainer......................

Rubber dust shield fitted to loads of 1950's/60's/70's cars with 7" headlamps - Land Rover, Jaguar, Rover, ADO 16, Standard, Triumph (& i think i,ve seen it on an early Mini parts list).
