Hi, everyone, I've decided to go for a mini as my third car restoration. The wife is delighted..... NOT. Although she approves of the car. I've purchased a 1980 10inch wheels mini 1000 HL. Its a bare shell with just the suspension brakes and wiring loom in place. Its been very nicely painted in, Sage Green with an Old English White roof. Looks great. Plan is to make it look as classic as possible. Move dials to centre position, change rear lights to MK2 etc. I have a 1380 engine to go in it with fast road cam. Nothing too silly but driveable at lower revs. Probably going for twin SU's and a big bore exhaust. No interior so that has to be done from scratch and no glass either. Currently I'm working on finding out what all the terminals on the loom attach to. I think its a MK 4 loom but they all seem pretty standard. Looking forward to chatting and benefiting from all your experience.
