Good evening all,

I bought my mini with a bodykit already fitted, and after an interface with a kerb I have managed to bugger the one piece front up. The bodykit looks pretty much identical to the Zeemax CS kits, so I spoke to Zeemax to see if they did a one piece fibreglass front with their bumper integral, since I could only see the bumpers for sale on their site. It turns out they don't, and since there is no obvious butchery or bodgery evident of Frankensteining a Zeemax bumper to the shell, I am led to assume that it is a manufactured item that rips off the look of the Zeemax kit.

I have looked but been unable to find one, so if anybody can point me in the right direction I would be very grateful; the alternative is attempting a repair which could go horribly since I've never glassed before, or be very expensive if I have to get a body shop to do it for me.

I am also looking for advice on hinges for it, seeing as mine currently lifts off and has to be placed on the floor; what are the best kits, how easy are they to make a good job of, pneumatic struts, etc.

Cheers,

Phil.

hinges are worse than lift off as you cat get to anything unless the headlights are on the ground.  a two piece front is best as you can just lift the bonnet for all you could need to do.

oh i would look to get your front fixed.
