Picked up a 1992 SPI 1.3i in BRG this morning to go with my collection, now, has 12" ultralite gold wheels on it, would like to get the mini lite type wheels back, there are two types, one where the wheel nits are inline with the spokes and other ones where they are offset, does anyone know what was suppost to go with the car?

Assuming this is a Cooper as the Sprite and Mayfair were still carb then, the 1993 brochure shows alloys with four nuts, set between the spokes.

The early Rover "Minilite style" wheels had the stud holes in line with the spokes (often called RSP Cooper alloys) but they were later changed to between the spokes (late 1991 - early 1992 ?), apparently to make the castings stronger for the Japanese export market.

(RSP = Rover Special Products)
