Fitting Carpet To Crossmember

I'm not sure whether to use the supplied felt under the crossmember carpet or just glue it in place direct to the metal. The join at the front of the crossmember to the front carpet is problematic because the felt lifts the carpet up over the tunnel - how have people joined the carpets here?

The carpet sticks straight to the crossmember
Have you got any photos?

Newton set like yours
The silver material is sound deadening on top of that is black felt then the carpet on that
As said just glue the carpet directly onto the cross member we used evo stick spray adhesive

i think it looks better without this piece. gives a nice contrast and makes it a lot easer to remove the seat.

Looks really good.
Looks like you've taken a lot of time and effort with that and it shows. The carpet looks far better than the factory original in mine.
What brand is the silver sound deadening and did you manage each footwell as a single piece?
