I've done similar but pressurising the whole inlet with regulated compressed air and Taping up the tail pipe. This allows you to check for leaks from the inlet right through to the tail pipe using the soap. You'll never fix all the leaks especially on the throttle body, but you'll be able to sort the big troublesome ones.
