Guys,

Can anyone recommend a company who I can use to send an engine on a pallet?

Google brings up a fair few but a recommendation from experience would be good.

Any advice on doing this would also be helpful

Many thanks

Drain all fluids, sit it in a tyre , strap it down well and shrinkwrap it

I've used palletline in the past but most of the companies farm the work out to each other so probably just as good to go with the cheapest .

You'll need a taillift service if you and recipient don't have forklifts. Its generally same sort of money

I almost always use Parcels2Go, I find them cheap and reliable... Iv recently used them too for a rear subframe...

I think I used them a couple of years ago to ship a 2 litre Vauxhall engine and gearbox from London area to me in Wigan. That was strapped to a pallet and shrink wrapped.

As has been said, drain ALL fluids and make sure it is secure on the pallet with a big ratchet strap on it, and wrap it with shrink wrap, black if you can get it as that seems to be better and not rip as easily as the clear stuff...

Thanks guys.

Im not seeing it, Im having it sent to me and Im having to sort out the logistics.
The best price Ive found is palletisedshipping.co.uk , I tried parcel2go but they were one of the highest.

The guys worries about how to secure it, Im wondering if its safe to tell him to lay it on its back...

I've had a complete MPi lump sent to me on a pallet, upright tied down with a few ratchet straps fine. Shame the guys bottled it for you, but maybe a van hire for the day? Did this when i bought my 1380.
