As i will be driving soon, what is insurance like on original minis? (unmod'd) i presume its low for young drivers as they are only around 60hp?

Standard 998 is 40bhp. Although, my fist year on a £900 rot box 998 was £1500 third party fire and theft, But that was 15 years ago now.

When I was 18 when I past my test it was just under £1000 on a standard mini Ritz 998cc. Put your parents on the policy, and the mileage can make a difference. make sure you get an agreed valuation of the car, you'll have to send off some photos of the car for this.
