I thought i would set up the restoration thread for our project
As many would have seen, we have a project on- a 78 austin and we intend to give it a light, needed, restoration back to its original condition. Before we purchased it, about 5 months ago, it had not moved from someones drive for 13 years so it has been exposed to the elements a long time!!
It has rust in all the usual places, door rims, floor, and underneath each bumpers. The owner before seemed to quite like his filler so we are constantly finding new bits and pieces of rust!
We are novices so if anyone has a austin of the sameish era, and knows of common problems with them, please lmk!!!
