Ok, I bought off eBay a Lumenition Kit, its come from a guy that used it on his Mk1 mini, he used it with a ballast resisted Coil. The module is a CEM module, this one –

Currently my car is non ballasted, it’s a 71 clubman with a mg metro 1275 fitted. I was going to buy a MS4 coil from lumenition, however having spoken to Auto-Car who sell the lumenition kits they have told me that the module needs to be used with a constant energy coil with a OHMs rating less than 1ohm, they can supply me one –

then wire this in with no ballast resistor and away I go. The guy did say I could get a appropriate coil from loads of other sources probably cheaper. I have had a look and I can’t find one from Lucas or Bosch with an OHM’s less than 1.

Also when I put the multimeter across my current coil I am getting a reading of 0.06 this is with the multimeter dial on the 200 range, so my current coil is less than 1? The car starts and runs great so I can’t see this being correct?
