Hi all,

I can't find a definitive answer however what grease types are recommended for wheel bearings?

I've got Sealey EP2 Lithium Grease currently and was wondering if i could use this?

I can't find anywhere that sells it in the UK, i'm really adverse to paying that P+P price.

Yes, that's fine, EP2 spec, that's what I've used for years.

I use the Timken Grease, but fortunately one of our local parts shops has it on the shelf !!

I'd been using Castrol for a very long time and found it a good grease, but the last 2 tubs I got had a fair bit of water in the grease.

I was going to mention Castrol LM but it seems that I have not been paying attention for the last few years as you can no longer get it. However you can empty tins on eBay listed under 'Vintage'. I feel old.

All done and sealed up. Nice 20 minute job to get the new bearings in.

I should hang on to mine then! We have a beaten old tin of Castrol LM in the workshop we've been using for donkey's years. Brilliant stuff. Was unaware it was NLA...
