Kad 16V Dride Shaft

Hi all,

 

i stumbled on a question of what drive shaft will fit the KAD 16V engine with their 4speed gearbox?

 

im planing on kad engine build so i would greatly apreciate it if any of you can help.

 

i have 1977 austin mini if thats helps in any way.

It depends on what output shafts the gearbox has. The engine does not determine the driveshaft other than going for stronger ones.

and even then the stronger ones are not always better. and can fail more often.

 

but as above has nothing to do with the engine. you need whatever goes with your decided on output shafts.

thats were you lost me i dont know what output shafts i need/want

which depends on your diff and gearbox.

Pot joints will be fine. You'll do more harm with yumping it than anything else.

If you've got a KAD engine, then the gearbox will be a DAM5626 i guess, so normal drive shafts will be fine.

Its just a standard fitment with standard length shafts.
