Eventually got it running okay and took it for a few road trips and a trackday over summer. Which was great fun all round! Was awesome (but slow) on the track until it dumped half its oil on the track and bent a rear camber bracket within the space of a couple of laps haha. Still made it home though!
It's been off road since October to keep it out the cold and rain. Fitted 3 quarters of the new adjustable suspension kit so far and treated it to a new interior for Christmas!
Plans are to finish the suspension, get the wheels refurbished as they leak air, and get it all checked over and ready for a new MOT in spring.
Also need to play around with some dizzys or get something programmable like Aldon Amethyst as it's still not running 100% right and I'm convinced it's a timing issue.

Wow, that interior is spectacular! Who did the seats and such for you?

Very happy with it.
Only downside is I don't know how long it'll stay clean with the Mini's thirst for unscheduled maintenance.

Agreed that is a lovely interior - very classy.
How slow was slow on the track?

Wasn't painfully (or dangerously) slow, but was the slowest car there by a good margain haha. Pretty sure I was having the most fun though, and making one of the best noises!

Might change it because the manifold barely clears the inner CV joint, and it's a bit too loud for road trips. It's the supercharger that makes awesome noises.

I get about 30 mpg. But it's a weekend toy. Could probably get higher if I didn't drive it like my hair was on fire.
Still better then my other 2 then sounds good lol

The original wheels didn't hold air, and I fancied something with a bit more presence, but still something like original. I briefly looked at 12x6 wheels with sportspack arches but talked myself out of it. Went with 12 X 5.5 with a more sensible offset so they sit under the standard arches.
Ease excuse the state of the garage, and the car for that matter!
I'll probably have to wind the camber back in a bit but my god it looks good.

I have had to 'alter' the wings a bit. But I'm running Metro brakes which widens the front track a little. Only had to take about half an inch off the front part, and it's covered by the plastic arch extension.

Those seats are gonna be heard to keep clean! Have you found a massive improvement in acceleration with the super dooper charger?

I know especially since whenever I'm near the mini I tend to have filthy oily hands haha.
Yeah it's like a completely different car. Was 40bhp standard, should be about 70 now so makes a huge difference. Much more enjoyable to drive.
