Today I got an MOT!
One advisory for some corrosion on the door sill that needs addressing but overall not bad!
Wheel alignment desperately needs doing though, it felt horendous! Got all the adjustable componants' fitted now, so it's all over the place! Will get it done now I have MOT.
I also need to trim the arches some more for the wheel clearance as it's rubbing quite badly.
But.... Nearly there!

Excellent news! Love this car. My first car when I was 16 was a H reg Racing Green 998 so it's nice to see one on here.

Holy thread resurrection Batman!

So.... The rest of 2019 was pretty uneventful apart from it blowing through a few more headgaskets... Ended up getting a 12G202 head and opening up the chambers to drop the compression ratio without the decomp plate. Got plenty of use out of it that summer including an 800 mile round trip to Goodwood Revival and back without a single hiccup until I ran out of petrol on the motorway slip road a couple of miles from home.
Then it was put away for winter, and wheeled back out in February/March 2020 when the world started getting a bit odd. While tidying up the engine bay I found the bulkhead had quite a bit of rot, and a few other bits had started to go, including where it was picked up on the last year's MOT. So when I found myself with weeks off work and nothing to do I started stripping it down... Which got deeper and deeper until I found myself facing a full bare shell restoration. Which took FAR longer than anticipated. It was September 2021 before it went off to someone to do the welding, and then October 2023 before it came back from paint! Also cost a lot more than anticipated but at least it was spread over 2 years!
Came back to me as a rolling shell, which I've been slowly putting back together and is now very nearly finished and looking fantastic.
Hoping to have the last bits sorted and have it back on the road to be our wedding car at the end of March.
I will get some pictures uploaded and posted tomorrow if I get a chance.
