What is course on an M12 tap? 1.75?

To put a grub screw in to block the hose take off on a thermostat sandwich plate. Cause it's alloy I'm hoping I can get away with a 10mm drill bit

Some of the purists might say no but I'd go for it. Unlikely the hole will be spot on 10mm anyway as the drill/chuck etc will all wobble etc. You could always take a smidgen off with a fine file if you were really bothered.
