Or one from another car that would kind of fit ?

A used one would probably be the best option as I don't think they are available new anymore.

I need one for my project and was just going to ask Minijosh on here as he breaks Mini's and has spare parts available.

Ben

I have one, but if I remember it is broken where it clips onto the bracket.

I think most of them are as there is no easy way to release them other than by force!

The clips on the back are an abolute pain in the rear. Anyone know how to release them properly without breaking them?

The plastic just gets old and brittle meaning you have very little chance of releasing them in one piece.

I spent 20 minutes carefully trying to persuade mine off and it ended up breaking anyway :(

Yep, they're a total pain in the arse. I'm looking at moving all my Maxi fuses to the drivers side inner wing, along with the relays, new ecu and conjoining fuse box. At this stage of my build, this isn't going to look standard in the engine bay anyway lol

first thing to do is remove the coloured strips on the top, then with a small screwdriver, prise the little clip back and the spade connector just pulls down and out.

With the maxi fuse holder in the engine bay? You do that with the drivers side internal one..

That's not the issue - the problem is getting the plastic case off the bracket.

And breaks as there is a 'sprung' tang that locks into a hole in the bracket.  There is no way to push the tang to release it before pulling though.

I have 3 here in various sates of brokenness around that fixing, usually it is actually the side 'rails' that the bracket slides into that break away.

If yours has released without damage you're very lucky!  If that is not the damage to yours, what is? I may be able to supply the parts to replace yours.

Mine is cracked in several places where the spade connectors go in, they have to be removed from the fusebox to be able to remove the loom from the car, he who tried to remove them went in with a bit too much force.
