Hi all

I am currently in the process of restoring my mini. I am just about to start mocking up the arches (group 2 race) and wanted some advice.

First how did you all go about lining up the arches perfectly for deciding where the seam cut outs will go?

Second do you have any suggestions or mounting hardware? I understand most people use self tapers but I dont really like the idea of them. I am currently considering just small bolts maybe m4 to hold them on.

Any advice is apreciated
Thanks in advance

I have seen them held on with small stainless steel bolts and nuts, but personally I think self tappers look just fine.

M4 rivnuts, I believe the holes are the same as the 'special' arches, makes life easier to line up the holes on the car as they already have the cut outs.
Then just take your time to position them, mark, cut a small groove then enlarge as needed. Measure twice, cut once. 😇

I have just ordered some m4 rivnuts so I'll see how that goes!
