evening all,

recently picked up a very clean mini been sitting in a garage since the millennium

86 city e and well its pretty much from what i can see had a great deal done to it already including a stage 3 head, rc40

system, arches, minilite wheels sunroof, new headlining, respray, roll cage, only bit of rust on the lower wing seam by the windscreen and some surface on the top of the windscreen

apart from that theres nothing at all on it! well chuffed!

wondering if someone could point me in the right direction ive had loads of cars 20+, currently also have a e30 which comes out rarely, never a carb'd one though

wanted to see if there would be any benefit in fitting a weber or dellorto 38/40 or if it would be overkill?

thanks

Hi and welcome.

If its a 998 then stick with the existing carb, maybe go for a HIF38 suitable re needled if its not been done already. If its a 1275 then again a HIF44 will more than do the job.

Welcome to the forum :) Sounds like a great little car that you've gotten.

cheers yeah it is a fairly solid little motor!

and yeah ive done a bit of reading, look like uprating or fitting twin carbs could most likely reduce power, so il leave it as it is,

think its a HS4 ive got,
