Hi all, recently bought a set of wheels for my BMW e36, they are a bbs rs style wheel and are currently painted black with a silver (painted rim). I'm wanting to get them refurbed with the centre gold and the rim polished (not diamond cut).

so far the places I've tried have either been rather un interested as they're not the standard blast and powder coat silver/black ot have wanted silly money. I'm beginning to wonder whether it may be best to just get them done in gold then polish the rim myself.

Can anyone on here recommend somewhere that can do this work for a reasonable price? I'm happy to pay for quality but I'm not paying daft money especially if I've still got to finish them myself!

I havnt found any where local to me in the black country that does them at a reasonable price.

however, when I have needed to do the kind of finish you are talking about I have ended up doing them myself. if they have a polished finish you will need to get kitted up to keep on top of them anyway, so if you are buying the gear you may as well do them yourself.

if you were feeling clever you could make yourself a jig to rotate the wheel that might make life easier for you, I always intended doing that myself in the past but never did.

City charge £20 a wheel up to 18"

I had my BBS RC041/042 done there but I split them myself and had the centre's done bronze and the barrels in chrome powdercoat. So that was £40 a wheel. They really do look excellent, and no hassle of keeping the lips polished

Ive just dropped them a message. mine are not split rims so I imagine they might be more expensive but that does seem a very good price.
