Considering changing my alloys - I have 12" at the moment and like the look of 10" wheels. (Also have a slow puncture in one wheel (from the valve which has been replaced - which doesn't seem to stop so good excuse to change ;)

Anyway – I have a 1982 City, 998. Drums all round. So I think 10” will fit out of the box.  I do have arches (They look standard to me, black plastic ones) so the question is can I fit 10x5 and / or 10x6 D1s.

Tempted by these http://www.minispare...r-classic-mini/

With 165 70’s fitted…. Any thing I should look out for?

I like the look of the originals better. The holes are two different sizes and the spines decrease in width towards the center on the originals. Note you can get repro centers with the Dunlop decals from MiniSport. They need a couple wraps of duct tape to fit tightly and are made of plastic though.

I have repro Dunlop D1s on my Mini with 165/70R10s. It's difficult to find original D1s here. The car was initially running on non-spaced drums all around and when fitted, the tyre was rubbing on the rear shock dust cover. My solution was to fit spaced drums front and rear, but this did mean that the wheels stick out a little bit. I think it will be fine with 145/80/R10s.
