ive had tons of minis over the years, always on 10" wheels though, and they have always been fast road/trackday type cars.

I'm in the early stages of starting a new build and want to do something totally different this time, I want to built something to take to shows and show off, rather than something that is fast and handles well.

so, the question is, do I go for 10" wheels, or 13"? what is currently most fashionable do we think?

I want to go for something different, not the usual minilights,

10'' wheel just look right on a mini. I would buy a set, but can't fit my metro 4 pot brakes behind them. I would need to buy KAD calipers. :(

10' wheels drive a million times better so those all the way!

10 inch wheels for sure, they just fit the car so much better and, in my opinion, suit the car much better!

What about 10 vs 12? Is 12 best of both worlds?

Do whatever YOU like. I do love 10s (both looks and how they feel) both my minis are on 10s at the moment, but I personally am getting so bored of seeing minis on 10s so I'm after some 13" sportspack alloys for the daily now and keep the other one on 10s

Horses for courses isn't it. I loved my Sports LE with sportspack (back in the day!) but here I am now removing a sportpack from a different car and going through the pain of putting it back to 10" wheels. Fashion is part of it I suppose, but I always liked the original look, and having had 4 mini's they've all been 12" or 13" wheels, so I wanted a change. Sounds like the opposite for you (always had tens) so do what makes you happy I say!

13's are a bit outfashion today on mini scene. There are many who are retrofitting 10's wich is a more distinct wheel size from other cars (styling subjective) and perform better technically.

10s every time, IMHO 13s just don't look right. Truth is practically everything has been done to Minis. Why not look back to the '60s and replicate the style of something that hasn't been seen around for a while like a Brexit - whoops, sorry, I mean Britax racer or what about Clive Trickey's racer.

wow, its hard to tell the difference between 12 and 13 rims... I'm assuming the middle one is 12"? Mine currently has 12" rims, but it might be cool to drop to 10" someday... then again, I kindof like the way they look.

Thanks for the picture!

Yes 12's in the middle (my car) I did love the look of the 10's on the other red mini though :mrcool:
