Spi 1995 Huge Consumption, And Technical Control Refused

Best Answer gdudu , 27 October 2018 - 10:48 AM

Hello

Good new, the technical control for pollution was OK, The CO was about 0.3  :-)

Bad news :

The technical control was not accepted cause of oil drops. The new rules don't accep this, and the techicien told me that with an english car it would be impossible ....

And now, I have a problem when I accelerate : there is a big hole and the motor loses all power and frequently stalls

I have reseted the ECU with readmems (readmems.exe com3 interactive and OxFA), but this is the same

I have made a little log file attached

Hi gdudu,

the only thing I see is your stfueltrim its a bit low (lean),would be better when being over 100 (rich). Have the engine running for a while after reset, better do the log file while driving.

But have a look what Sprocket says to your logfile :-)

And how did the old cat look like (inside)?

No more black smoke on startup?

Do you have the fuel-pressure gauge? Your loss of power on acceleration could be because of low fuel pressure. You should check the pressure at idle and then when you accelerate - dies the engine have loss of power when you open the throttle also with car stationary or does it have to be accelerating under load (moving)?

I’ve not looked at the logfile yet.

Sorry I'm wrong, its running sligthly rich!!That would be ok.  Wait what Sprocket thinks!

Yes, black smoke is stil here, but I think this is something else, not really boring

I don't think it's the fuel pressure, cause it was good not long ago

The old cat seems to be normal. I would like to post a picture, but I cannot, I think I have posted too much files an images in this topic and the size is limited

I had an old problem I wanted to correct since a long time : Idle was not very fast to come back after releasing the pedal. (it was difficult to drive with motor at 2000 rpm when switching gears). Then I replaced the accelerator cable.

But it was not this.

Then I tried to modify settings, like igniton_advance, fuel_trim, idle_decay or idle_speed. But it was not better and now I have this hole when acceleration.

Then I reseted MEMS, but not sure it was effective

I will try to make a new log to morrow, now it's raining

Well, I cannot post any picture or file, the topic is full

But I have checked my capilary tubes, and the one between the ECU and the fuel trap was broken. I have changed it with a cristal tube, but this is not better. I think I have to buy a new one

when have you done the logfile, at that time the tubes must have been ok . Map is always at about 30 while rpm is about 900.

But we need a logfile while driving!

Here's a log file when driving.

I still have a crystal tube instaed of the original capilary tubes (this is less rigid)

The Map Kpa is always above 30

Here I really don't see what it is

Have a look to your IAC, seems to be open all the time!

Well, this is OK now,

My cristal tube between the ECU and the fuel trap was stucked and then closed

I still have to see why the idle is not coming back quicly : when I release the accelerator, motor is still running and it come back to idle after 1 or 2 seconds, then it's a little hard to drive when switching gears (motor is going very fast). Perhaps I will put a spring to call it back faster

And tonigth the hand brake was broken when I pulled it, but this is something else ...

Hi

It's OK for the idle : my accelerator cable was not tight enough, and now it's OK

I thougth to arrive at the end, but

I have made a "last" log file to see, but I think to have something wrong : the STFT is always at 100, it doesn't move ???

The lamda seem to be OK

During this log file, I have made some settings on the cable, that's why the idle is moving, this is normal

Could someone help me , perhaps as is normal ?

Thanks

Hi gdudu,

a lot of things go wrong here, when I have a look to lambda status and closed loop ,both are at zero all the time, so short time fueltrim will not work.Possibly your lambda sensor defekt or not connected right, maybe no heating.Check if there is current between the two white cables.

In addition iac is not going under 60 steps, should decrease to 20 to 30 when engine is idling. Map is bad too, should be at about 30 in your region when car is idling.

Ohhhh

That's very odd, all theses problems when my car seem to go well

I will try to check some connections, all the sensor cannot be wrong at the same time

Thanks genpop, will check
