Alright!

After fornicating with other vehicles for nearly twenty years I have seen the light and have returned to my first love and bought a Mini again.  I had four in my younger days the best being a pickup which I now mourn for.  A van in the same colour is now serving to comfort me.

I have joined this forum as it crops up regularly when searching for answers to issues and I will now be able to ask my own questions and maybe provide the odd answer if I'm able.

Mark

Thanks guys.

Two friends and I had a bit of a BMC/BL commercial vehicle thing going on in the early 90's with my pickup and their Morris Minor vans, all wonderful vehicles and we  wish we still had them!

Hello miniireland,

Minis may not be the fastest cars ever but you get a decent driving experience.   Most modern cars are fast compared to thirty years ago, but they're also heavy, wide and cumbersome.

It's good to know the Mini still has such a strong following, I think the only other classic this well supported is the Series Land Rover (which I also had but was too thirsty - but marvelous!).
