Hi all
Problems with my cooper 1.3i mpi 
I changed the plugs and ht leads and all was mint I had her ticking over and she ran out of petty put some in and went to the garage and filled her up and she wouldn't start after about half an hour  she started up and I took her out and went about 10 miles all was mint pull over and when I tried to start to start her again she wouldn't start after about 1/2 hour she started again and no problems , splutter once one the way home started her this morning ticking over mint 
any thoughts

If it was fine before you did the plugs and leads I would start by just checking all possible connections and that you fitted the correct parts. If not could possibly be the crank sensor or coil pack.

If you ran out of petrol it is possible you sucked sediment from the bottom of the tank into the fuel system. Personally I would change the fuel filter.

where does the fuel pump draw fuel from?....... The bottom of the tank, whether full half full or empty.

I have yet to see a fuel tank with sediment in it.

This is clearly another problem as it wouldn't just get better if the filters were blocked...........
