Best Answer FlyingScot , 25 February 2018 - 11:13 PM

Charcoal filter system for emissions is generally robust, haven’t come across any needing replaced. Hoses yes, purge valve yes but canister itself no

I hear the fuel trap/charcoal canister is a serviceable part but have been unable to find anywhere that sells a replacement.

Any one have any ideas where one can be sourced from?

Ah, I probably shouldnt have referred to it as fuel trap- I hadnt appreciated that there was actually a small fuel trap on the SPI.

I mean the charcoal canister under the wing, or does this not need replacing periodically and Ive got confused with the SPI fuel trap? (Mines an MPI by the way).

Just my confusion!

I'd seen people mentioning the fuel trap as a serviceable part and I was simply getting confused with the charcoal cannister!

Thanks for the responses, no wonder I couldn't find a replacement!
