I'm planning to fully replace the left hand side inner wing with one of the heritage inner wings combined with check strap and a panel.
Are these difficult to line up?

On the right hand side, I'm planning to just replace the front half of the inner wing as the rest seems fairly solid to me. There is a bit of pitting near the back at the top but this s nowhere near going through and is rotting from the side where the pitting is visible from. The lower windscreen surround corner has rotted away in this area and is currently 80% filler. So, just wondering if it will be easier to cut the entire wing out and replace in the same way as the left wing, which may help access the corner of the windscreen surround?

I would change full inner wing, you will end up with 2 or 3 repair panels and a few patches, which will he more difficult than just changing the lot. Alignment is also very easy with full panel and they are not expensive.

full panel and easy to line up, screw all the front together before welding and fit doors then you know you have it right

See this thread - http://www.theminifo...anel-stiffener/

If you're going to replace the whole panel I would advise against the fully built up item, it's more trouble than it's worth and you'll probably end up dismantling some or all of the parts to make it fit.

I was hoping the combined panels would be a pretty good fit and save some time.

I'll order separate panels.

That was my assumption too but unfortunately it wasn't to be, and it seems I'm not alone....
